Dragons in my world are antisocial and independent by nature, but my youngest turned out to be very sociable. [ He misses his cute and sociable little dragon. ] My two oldest are from the Cat tribe and spend most of their time in their kitten forms, so Raon picked up a lot of their body language.

I think when my youngest tries to polymorph for the first time he will probably try being a kitten.

Polymorphing is essentially the same as shapeshifting. [ He doesn't know if they're synonyms in his world or not, though he has a feeling they aren't. ] I don't know much about the details, but I believe polymorphing is more limited than shapeshifting.

For example, if Raon were to polymorph into a human he wouldn't be able to control much about how he looks — he would be seven years old, with black hair and blue eyes. If he wanted to change his hair or eye colour while polymorphed he would need to use illusion magic.
